I have had no problems at all, but I guess when you are a huge company with over 6 million customers, someone is bound to have a bad experience. For me they are great! (overall impression 9.6/10)

They have a set of monkeys sittingin Philippines who just know how to say 2 things - Sorry and our admin is looking - you are better off breaking your head agains a stone. And even to do that you wait MINIMUM 30 minutes. (overall impression 4.6/10)

This is the WORST hosting company ever. I never saw, so low level of competence, lack of expertise, and general disinterest to help. Re-imaging of my dedicated sever took more then 4days (actually I am still waiting). After 4days they still can’t figure out how to setup root password so I can access my dedicated server!
Please, don t do any business with 1&1. (overall impression 4/10)

1and1 internet are rubbish! They are utterly inflexable and the customer service is shocking. They use VOIP which often makes the operators hard to understand, but this isn t helped by their sketchy command of the English language.
They may be dirt cheap. But the reason is that they pay their staff dirt and they provide you the customer with a cheap shoddy service that will leave you feeling frustrated and unsatisfied.

I signed up for their developer package ($20/month). Good features: IMAP email, many domains, many email accounts, free 5 domains, included SSL cert.
Bad: Cannot use third party SSL cert. Only one SSL cert permitted. Unusable webmail client. Slow control panel. Incredibly slow MySQL database. I installed OScommerce and today the shop is barely working... I am switching to Godaddy VPS, I was assured it has IMAP, as soon as I find out I am moving everything to them. (overall impression 5.4/10)

I am too having lots of problems with 1 and 1. Have you seen the guarantee they offer at their website? 99.99 per cent uptime! I have never yet getting this uptime in any month I have been with them. I rang their support number and asked how they backed this up, they just ignored the question and kept telling me they are doing everything they can to get it working - that s not a guarantee! (overall impression 5.6/10)

I happily ran 2 sites with 1and1 for 2 years, before it all went horribly wrong. You are right about their customer service. It generally consists of you reporting a problem and them saying tough - now pay up . A single missed payment, which I cancelled in protest because they couldn t fix anything, and I had the bailiff s letter through the door with ?50 charges attached and credit rating screwed! So they might APPEAR cheap, but their dreadful service has cost me dear. (overall impression 5.2/10)
