1and1 are the worst hosting company I have had the displeasure to experience. Their support is the worst I have encountered too - many of my emails were simply ignored and they don’t appear to read them properly either. Do not expect any technical help as all they do is point you towards their mediocre (yeah it is stretching it) help files. Telephone support ? Yes that is poor too. (overall impression 5.4/10)

Worst experience ever. I had a simple no-frills HTML site, running FP2003 for design & upload, could not get 1and1 to register domain transfer, never got site up & running. Refused to respond to help requests. Never sent renewal notices, turned over my account to collection agency. Forget the glossy ads, they are the worst webhost ever. Don't walk, run away! (overall impression 4.4/10)

Not sure of other's experience with 1and1 but for the one year that I have been using 1and1 one they are pretty good and reliable. It is one the cheapest web hosting provider that you can find right now. The only problem I have with it is that I was streaming mp3 with a php script and it cost error because there were too many people on my site so it wasn't really 1and1's fault since I am on a shared server. But without the streaming script it runs fine. I recommend 1and1 to others too. (overall impression 9.4/10)

Value for the price is what you get from 1and1. They give you far more features and freebies than anyone. It is suprising that they make any money at all. My experience with 1&1 has been positive, Samuel R. Wilson (overall impression 10/10)
