The deciding factor for me was SMTP port options. I had test driven the highly recommended Surpass Hosting. They offered very similar options and price, however, while tech support insisted that port 26 was configured for my shared server, it wasn't. With Hosting Zoom not only has port 26 open, but 465 for SSL support as well. After exchanging more than one support email ticket over two days, we got nowhere. The only time that I have contacted Hosting Zoom for support was via Chat. That was instant and pleasant.

Their servers are located in America, maybe they are good for US users then. PING from my PC (I'm in Europe) was above 130ms which means site loading will probably be slow, not accepted for me.The hosting itself was recomended to me on one forum also. (overall impression 9/10)

Well I recently signed up for their reseller hosting plan and I feel that its really worth the money that u put in. I mean 6.95 dollars for a reseller hosting plan is quite good even if u dont want to sell it and just use it for your own websites. I read all the specifications above and I feel that Cobalts reply was best. Cause after all it depends on your requirements and BUDGET. If one cannot afford better speeds SEO recommendations and other stuff is immaterial. One can just compensate that with good content I guess. (overall impression 9.6/10)
